Workshop provides a platform for students to practically learn various construction methods and material applications. The workshop is staffed with technicians, faculty and experts who instruct and guide students in the use of the equipment so they can bring their projects to life, from model making to full-size construction of furniture and architectural elements.
A well-equipped model making lab is available when students will learn the skills to develop prototypes and 3D models using various materials as part of their design development process.
Climatological data of the place is an important parameter applied in the design of buildings. Hence climatology form an important part of the curriculum of the B.Arch. programme. In order to teach climatology effectively a climatology lab with modern instruments has been established in this lab there are instruments to measure Temperature, Humidity, Wind Speed, and Lighting etc.
Surveying is a scientific process of marking and recording measurements, levels and other technical data with respect to a site. It provides a valuable data based on which an architect or a planner will be able to understand the site conditions in order to provide design solutions.
A well-equipped survey lab is provided to meet the requirement of architecture and planning courses which are supported by expert experienced instructors.
Carpentry & wooden workshop is structured as an open environment for material-based learning. Experimentation with materials, prototyping, testing, craft explorations and learning while making is an integral part of the design culture at Aurora.
